Situated in the heart of the pretty village of Frampton-on-Severn
Kimberley House welcomes up to eleven guests, it is the perfect dwelling for anyone who wants to explore the Gloucestershire countryside and be surrounded by a characterful, roomy property.
Kimberley House was the former Manager’s House to the Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory, which was based at Frampton from 1924 to 1982. In those days Cadbury’s shipped Cacao beans from the Sharpness Dock to Frampton in horse drawn barges, to be processed into chocolate and sent on to Bourneville.
You will find some beautiful old photographs of some of the previous residents at Kimberley House in the dining room for you to admire.
Kimberley House is the first building you see as you enter Frampton Estate which is the second home to Shipton Mill, so you may see the odd miller walking to work.
Shipton Mill
Shipton Mill is situated in a beautiful Cotswold valley near Tetbury. The mill in Shipton Moyne Wood has been producing flour since the time of the Domesday Book. Today it produces a wide variety of speciality organic flours, using traditional stone grinding and roller milling methods.
We mill a range of organic flours of exceptional quality, without haste and with scrupulous care, using only the best ingredients. An interesting fact is that here, at Shipton Mill Frampton, we produce the finest organic white flours. Shipton Mill not only provides flour to the best artisan bakers around the UK but also to the Royal Households. We will warn you that from time to time it can be a little noisy as we have to meet the needs of the busy bakers all around the UK.
